OUR FOCUS
The Foundation focuses on health, education, sport and fostering economic self-sustainability. Our current flagship programs include the provision of prosthetic limbs to landmine victims, and the operation of Afghanistan's first and largest mobile library, delivering books to children in need.
We seek to facilitate and help finance practical, community-based and community-run initiatives in by:
-
Accessing resources provided by philanthropic organisations.
-
Sourcing and reconditioning second-hand equipment, medical devices, sporting goods and other materials
-
Arranging for resources to be shipped and distributed.
-
Supporting the provision of humanitarian services by our “on-the-ground” volunteers in the countries we operate.
-
As a mostly volunteer organisation, we don’t have the operating costs of other charities—all the donations we receive go directly to improving the lives of people in underdeveloped and war-torn countries.
